Firstly, we love how quiet this machine is, we barely noticed that it was on and even had to check it was still running! This is due to the frictionless magnets that are implanted in the drum of the machine making it almost silent – like the Tesla of washing machines!There’s a nice feature which allows for any cycle to be stopped at any time, this feature is ideal for those only looking to give something small a quick wash or those prone to losing a sock!

We had to try really hard to find some negatives for this machine as they are few and far between. Pros
There are many things we like about this machine, it has a slick design and easy to use dial, meaning there’s no difficulty in trying to figure out how to use it. There’s a quick wash feature which will run through a cycle in just 20 minutes which is very handy. There’s CapDosing feature which allows you to select the cap size you’re using in the load and it will automatically use the correct amount required for the most efficient cycle.The honeycomb drum protects your clothes from snagging which means there’s little chance of any clothes being ruined in the wash. You can also pause the programme any time. We found this a machine quite easy to use and it tested very well on all cycles.
Cons
Like with everything there are a few downsides. The machine itself is quite heavy and will probably take three delivery drivers to get it into your home – keep this in mind if you’re in a flat or apartment. Pros
There are many pros to this machine, not only does it comes with a sizeable 8kg drum and 1400rpm spin speed it also has a great range of programmes too which are perfect for every type of wash. There’s a quick wash which will ensure your laundry is cleaned in just 49 minutes – the quick wash on this unit is a full cycle meaning you can stuff it with 8kg of laundry!.
Not only did we love the programmes on this machine we also loved the build both inside and out as the drum on this machine is built to ensure your clothes are gently spun to reduce and of your garments being ruined in the wash. It’s also super quiet which is perfect for those who love open plan living.
Cons
When we tested it we found the quick wash was 49 minute which we felt was a bit long, a machine of this quality should have a much quicker machine. There’s also no TwinDos feature on this unit that almost all other Miele washers have. There’s also no progress indicator which is a useful tool.

The Miele WSI863 washing machine is one of the more expensive Miele washers on the market, however it is easy to see why you’d need to pay a premium to own one and why it’s ended up on our list of best washing machines to buy.
Pros
This washer comes with a 9kg drum which makes it perfect for large households. the honeycomb drum ensures that your laundry isn’t damaged during cycles. You’re also able to stop programmes at any point and restart from where you left off at any time.
The Power Wash 2.0 programme is a great feature of this machine which means it can plough through the laundry in very little time. We loved how quiet this machine was and at only 47dB per wash cycle it’s quieter than the machines on this list already.
Cons
We’d have to say although the machine is top quality the price is unjustifiable to most for a washing machine, even if it is an investment it’s a very expensive one. We found the machine very heave and not so easy to move too!

Pros
We love the feel and design of this machine as well as its digital display and easy to use programmes. It has all the features of all the previous Miele washing machines rolled into one machine. We were very impressed with how quiet the machine is even at 1600rpm we barely noticed that it was there. It is the only Miele Washing machine currently to receive 5/5 feedback from everyone who has purchased this from AO.Cons
In terms of functionality and how the machine operates we could not find a fault with this machine other than the very high RRP of £1,649 which for many is beyond what they’re prepared to pay for appliance. We found that some of the cycle times are a bit long when they probably don’t need to be. We also felt the machine could do with some sort of noise once the cycle has ended. Pros
We loved how quiet the machine was, we barely knew it was on!. We also love the fact there is a quick was cycle that’ll leave a small load fully clean and ready to go in just 20 minutes flat. most other programmes on this washer range from one to two hours, although some cycles are a tad longer.
Cons
The downside is some of the cycles, particularly eco cycles are very long at three hours! The button you press for adding laundry in during the cycle is very sensitive and paused our cycle without us even knowing! not a major con but something to get used to.

It’s no surprise that the Miele WWG 360 ended up on our list of best Miele washing machines to buy as it’s definitely one of the top washers to buy from this brand as it’s built to last but also very future proof at the same time. With it’s slick black door and very easy to use buttons and dials it’s perfect for those looking for something straightforward but with durability.
Pros
It’s a very modern machine in the sense that it is quite economical when it comes to water and detergent usage, it also has built in WiFi which allows you to control your washer from your phone – as long as you download the app. it has a good range of programmes with 12 in total which feels like plenty but isn’t too excessive.We loved it’s handy quick was feature as well as how quiet the machine is. WiFi is a bit of a novelty feature but definitely one for the future so this keeps you future proofed there.
Cons
The machine vibrated quite a bit when on a fast spin cycle which wouldn’t necessarily put us off but definitely something to think about. A very popular machine but also arguably the most expensive but don’t let that put you off as this machine is very intelligent and will calculate the exact amount of detergent your laundry needs and then uses it at the optimal time during your cycle for the best outcome.
Pros
A very well built machine which will definitely see you well into the future as they’re all tested for 20 years use. We loved the features on this machine as it has everything you’d expect it to including the signature Miele features such as Twin-Dos, Cap Dosing and Power Wash plus many more.The smartphone connectivity is a nice feature and although most won’t use it the begin with this is definitely the way the technology is heading so this future proofs the machine.
Cons
It was difficult to find a flaw with this machine as it most of the boxes you’d want in a washing machine. We’d say the price is very high and beyond what most are prepared to pay for a washer. Also it’s very heavy. Once installed it’s staying put for a very long time.
