Who are Miele?
Miele are a German manufacturer who produce premium and top quality electrical appliances as well as commercial units. Miele are often regarded as the Rolls Royce of appliances and its easy to see why.
Miele was founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann and has always been a family-owned, family-run company.
Since the beginning, the Miele motto has been “Immer Besser” or “Forever Better” and this philosophy is still shown in their modern appliances as Miele strive to be at the forefront of appliance technology.
Upright Vacuum Cleaners
What is an upright vacuum cleaner?
An upright vacuum cleaner is basically a vacuum cleaner that stands upright and balances on its own, to use one they just needs to be gently pushed along your carpet and it picks up all the dirt.
All of the parts of the vacuum such as the head, filters, motor and fan are attached as part of the same unit and with most models can be easily detached and reattached.
Are upright vacuums any good?
Nowadays upright vacuums are very popular, purely because of their ease – no bending down means no bad back so for most people this is a bonus, although it’s not just about that it’s also about how well they perform
Upright vacuums perform quite well and are very good at picking up dirt on all types of floor surface, the downside for most is they need to be plugged in whereas a handheld vacuum doesn’t.
Cordless Vacuum Cleaners
What is a cordless vacuum cleaner?
A cordless vacuum is what it says it is – a vacuum without a cord! Having a handheld vacuum has become more popular recently and that’s mostly due to how easy they are to use.
How does a cordless vacuum work?
Cordless vacuums are battery operated and need to be charged prior to using them. Most of these last somewhere better 20-60 minutes depending on the brand you use.
Are cordless vacuums any good?
Cordless vacuums are a great way to clean your house in a much quicker way and you can even get in those tight squeezes you might not with a standard vacuum. They tend to only weight around 2-3kg compared to a standard vacuum weighing 7-8kg so there’s a massive difference.
Due to how lightweight it is you can easily use them in any room on any floor type and even on ceilings for cobwebs!.

Bagless Vacuum Cleaners
What is a bagless vacuum?
A bagless vacuum is exactly what it says – a vacuum cleaner without a bag. A bagless vacuum doesn’t require a replaceable bag that collects all the dirt and dust, instead uses a dust cap or chamber that collects it instead. Dust caps Dan be easily emptied so they save you money in bags!.
Are bagless vacuums any good?
It comes down to preference but bagless vacuums are quite popular and the reason is mostly down to the fact they don’t need bags so there’s no subscription to vacuum bags at the supermarket every month.
The suction power on a bagless vacuum tends to be OK, although the downside to a bagless vacuum is it needs cleaning or filters replacing every so often.
Right now that’s out the way let’s dive into our list of best Miele vacuum cleaners to buy reviewed.
